Sum's Notes: The music here is what Badtouch originally called "The Nobody Hole Theme", and it reincarnates itself several times in different ways throughout the course of the opera. When I finished writing this prologue, I just randomly tagged on a "The Nobody Hole, Act I" at the end, as a way to elude that this album was just the first Act...but as I continued writing, it made sense to split this record up into Acts. This project defined itself from the beginning.

AS WE PLACE RARE JEWELS IN A DEEP SETTING TO ENHANCE THEIR BEAUTY, SO NATURE SETS MAN’S MIND IN DARK SURROUNDINGS, THAT IT MAY BETTER TRY HIS FAITH…

This tale is about a boy with a tiny sketchbook ….It begins with a storm.
A small town pounded by rain prepares for night
Chimneys paint poems on the sky
The boy plays games at the arcade
Just after school
The feeling in his gut says “Go Home”
So he -Counts his tokens
The he -Drops them in his raggedy pockets
Walks to the door looking out at the rain
There was never a good time to go to his broken home,
But something calls.
Rolling his pants
Heaving a sigh
Clenching his jaw
And waving goodbye
He pushed his lucky scooter through the rain and the glum
Having no idea the real storm had not yet begun
