When I recorded "September" with Belief for The Lil Folk around 2002, I stepped out of the booth and we both said "yo, we're on to something". That was the second song we ever recorded together (the first being "Hall of Mirrors", which you'll find on Letters From Robot Romeo). We decided to just keep building at a slow but steady pace and continue building our chemistry. Over the next four years, we had dozens of songs. But after much deliberation, we whittled it down to the nine songs we think told the story of that era the best. The Lone Wolf was born, and this album is my most confessional and grounded piece of work to date. I went in on the storytelling. More Lone Wolf albums to come, but don't expect us to stay in one place musically, we like to roam the open plains....
